Hudson Valley Family Therapy (HVFT) assists families to improve stress or other distress by strengthening interaction between loved ones. Characterized as strength based treatment, family therapy aims to adjust problems or patterns rather than to treat the problems as residing inside a person.
Helping romantic unions gain insight into their relationship, Hudson Valley Family Therapy resolves conflict and improves relationship satisfaction utilizing a variety of therapeutic interventions.
Hudson Valley Family Therapy provides services to parents struggling with their child’s oppositional, defiant and disruptive behaviors. We use Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), a proven effective, evidence-based treatment for children between the ages of 2 and 7. Our goal is to help parents by developing a strong positive bond with their child, early in childhood, which facilitates calm, consistent limit-setting, improving the overall quality of life in the home.
Hudson Valley Family Therapy uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients understand their depression and anxiety symptoms and work towards taking back the control in their lives.
