SERVICES
Family
Therapy
Hudson Valley Family Therapy (HVFT) assists families to improve stress or other distress by strengthening interaction between loved ones. Characterized as strength based treatment, family therapy aims to adjust problems or patterns rather than to treat the problems as residing inside a person.
Behavioral
Therapy
Hudson Valley Family Therapy provides services to parents struggling with their child’s oppositional, defiant and disruptive behaviors. We use Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), a proven effective, evidence-based treatment for children between the ages of 2 and 7. Our goal is to help parents by developing a strong positive bond with their child, early in childhood, which facilitates calm, consistent limit-setting, improving the overall quality of life in the home.
Clinical
Intervention
If clinical intervention hours are required HVFT can provide for Social Workers, in New York State, for their clinical license and R designation. This service helps to provide a bridge between learning and direct client service. Ultimately, effective clinical intervention ensures that clients are competently served.
